The brand new Whirlpool 2 in 1 I have sitting 4 feet from me will only fill a maximum of half full. I have to put a 3rd of the load that would work in my old 40 year old washing machine and the result is pathetic. It doesn’t get them clean. I’m trying to find out how to acquire a washing machine that actually washes clothes. What I have is like throwing some water, soap and clothes in a 5 gallon bucket and swishing it around with a stick. I lived in the Middle East some time ago and the people there washing their clothes by hand had cleaner clothes.

Does it need any further repairs after this. I want to know if this indicative of a bigger problem that needs to be fixed. Or if it was only caused by using dish soap. Can it be ignored after the studs clear?

Why couldn't you just pour half gallon of water over your clothes befor starting cycle? Easier than filling up the whole machine just to drain it

Thanks for the quick demo, that helped a lot. Just some added info for others: My model had THREE clips per door and, if you don't have a suction cup, a strong enough magnet (on a paper towel to prevent scratches) works like a charm.

Lol has to promote high efficiency emphasized it like 50 times. Saves water by using less and or use 20 times more electricity and takes 5 times longer to wash i doubt that high efficiency might as well just wash by hand drop clothes in bucket for a minute same thing partially washed clothes hardly any of the cost and headaches.

The fan that pushed cool air into the ice maker from the freezer went out. You can determine this happened by putting your hand next to the 2 intakes on the side of the door (0:13). If warm air is coming out its broken.

Washing machine front load door is too heavy and the door actually cracks by the hinges and will actually fall off. Gotta by a new door now.

Would have been nice, Keith, if you would have explained how to turn the ice maker ON (see 0:27 seconds on your video). I don't have any young kids in the house who would be turning the ice maker ON/OFF but apparently our cleaning folks inadvertently turned it OFF when polishing the door. Fortunately the GE website explained the sequence of button pushes on the control panel.

I think i solved my mothers ice maker problem. She is always fidle farting with temp and saw freezer set to warmest temp. Ill report back if it fixes it

(Not so fast.. pushed water plus and it filled too high) I hate this washer! How do you drain the water..had to edit bc I found a button that said “water plus”.. so pushed and it’s adding more water..I guess that solves my problem for now..

The LG unit comes apart with a few screws and two plugs. Took me literally 5 minutes and makes moving the unit into the home a thousand times easier.

I do not like the coil burners, I got rid of the ones I had and ordered burners WITHOUT the coil. When cooking on the burner with the coil top the heat would get low and when cooking certain things the heat had to be the same as in boiling.
